全球化是当今世界发展的主要特征。经济全球化、政治全球化和文化全球化已经成为不争的事实。随着全球化进程的加快,全球性的语言问题随之加剧或进一步突出,强势语言对弱势语言的冲击日趋严重。从经济、政治、文化等方面简要介绍世界全球化趋势,讨论全球化进程中的主要语言问题,即英语霸权现象和语言濒危现象,可找出应对这些语言问题的措施。
